ALCO's History
In 1969, Anthony Mandala saw a growing need for supplying institutional grade cleaning products to schools, hospitals and nursing homes. He started ALCO from the ground up in the Mandala family basement, and today we have expanded Mandala Brand Products to two locations. Our home base resides in a 35,000 square foot manufacturing facility in downtown Akron, OH with a second 25,000 square foot location in Canton, OH.
We are proud to say that after over 54 years we continue to be a family-run business alongside our dedicated and world-class associates. We appreciate your patronage and thank our customers who have been with us on this journey.

ALCO manufactures a premium line of Mandala Brand institutional cleaning products, including food service chemicals, laundry detergent, disinfectants, floor finishes and more. In addition to our line, we maintain an inventory from various suppliers such as Proctor & Gamble, 3M, Spartan, Betco, Georgia Pacific, Kruger, Pro-Link , Fresh Products, Unger, M + A Matting and many others.
Beyond cleaning chemicals, ALCO is also a distributor and authorized repair center of commercial cleaning equipment from Windsor Kärcher, Viper, Clarke, Tornado, ProTeam, Square Scrub and more. During the COVID-19 pandemic we expanded our infection control options to include air and surface purification technology, such as UV-C and photo-catalytic oxidation. Our food service division sells and services CMA and ADS (American Dish Service) dishmachines.
