Minimize Cross Contamination with Microfiber Cleaning Tools

LET'S START -
What is Microfiber?

  • Made up of microscopic-synthetic, yarn-like fiber that is woven into a cloth
    • Used to produce wiping cloths (towels), wet-mops, dust-mops, bonnets and floor pads
  • Each microfiber strand is a blend of polyester and polyamide that after being forced out is split in a manner that creates thousand of microscopic "hooks" no thicker than 1/100 that of a human hair
    • These "hooks" grab and hold onto dirt and grime until it is laundered
  • Polyester core within the microfiber forms tiny cutting edges that break up surface dirt and easily absorb and remove oils and clean grimy surfaces

How is Microfiber Better Than Traditional Materials?

Picture
  • Highly efficient: Microfiber's thousands of cleaning surfaces remove 4x more dirt and bacteria than conventional cotton products
    • Cotton blended or other synthetic yarns have basically one cleaning surface per fiber and tend to move dirt around instead of lifting it from the surface
